In probably our most physical game for the season, the boys had to dig deep to battle past a tough and physical Murrumbeena team.

With many of our backs manning much taller opponents, we were forced to restructure and bolster the backs with Jem and Caalan going back to nullify their talls and help out Harry T who held up many opposition attacks in the first half.

But as Harry G, Lachie St Leger and Andrew P started to feed off Sonny’s ruck dominance and take over in the packs, we got on top with repeat forward entries.

Although we struggled to capitalise on these entries and their big backs played extremely well with many intercept marks, we eventually kicked enough points with a few break through goals to build a lead.

The challenge now is to be more settled around goals to capitalise and to keep our running handball game strong.
